These blue tagua earrings are made from a small slices of tagua nut, dyed in a lovely shade of blue.

These dangling earrings are 3 inches (7 cm) long from the top of the ear wire to the bottom point of the tagua bead.  The beads are 0.75 inches (1.5 cm) are their widest point.

The outer edge of the beads on these dangling earrings has been left black, the natural color of the outside of the tagua nut.  This black part has its own natural character and both highlights and contains the color.  These tagua nut jewelry earrings would be perfect for a fun evening out and would go well with casual outfits.

Tagua nuts are a large nut harvested from palm trees that grow naturally in swamps in the Amazon jungle in Northern and Central South America. The nuts are dried, sliced, polished and dyed and used to create jewelry. Using hard seeds and nuts such as tagua helps to preserve the rainforest as it provides a sustainable, renewable and valuable alternative to mining or clearing the rainforest for farming purposes.

With the bright and bold colors we are known for, this statement jewelry is made to our standards of Fair Trade, provides a sustainable income for our team in Ecuador, and only the highest quality, organic components. The purchase of this listing includes a donation to local projects in Ecuador, including the Cotacachi Scholarship Fund to encourage indigenous children to complete high school.
